While cloud hyperscalers and AI software providers are building out resources furiously, enterprises are struggling to keep pace with mass deployments of AI.
The buildout of AI technology is barreling ahead at a dizzying rate. The major hyperscalers and AI clouds are on track to spend upwards of $400 billion on AI datacenter buildouts alone this year.
Yet, data from Futuriom's Cloud Tracker Pro AI Enterprise Index database shows that most AI deployments tend to be targeted at specific use cases rather than full-blown corporate automations. And proof-of-concepts tend to be at least as prevalent as full-scale rollouts, even in companies where the value proposition is theoretically high.
More importantly, anecdotal discussions and comments from enterprise AI chiefs show they have to proceed cautiously, for a variety of reasons. These reasons include complexity, security, and data governance.
