AWS Banks on Innovations to Boost New AI Models, Services

At its AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas this week, AWS released a series of AI models based on its Nova portfolio, along with services for rapidly and cost-effectively delivering frontier models and AI agents.

The move marks a major effort by AWS to stake its AI claim against OpenAI, Google, partner Anthropic (in which it’s invested $4 billion), and others by offering innovations to make enterprise AI models more accurate and faster to create.

The announcements also come in the wake of reports that say Nova models aren’t in mainstream use yet, despite their inclusion in AWS’s Bedrock collection of third-party models.

AWS is pushing hard to change this narrative with the spate of new wares with a range of sophisticated capabilities that just might boost Nova to a new level in the AI race. Let’s take a look.
